SISTERS

When one takes on the joyful job of creating this web site one wonders
how many people do actually read these true stories. We do have a not
accurate counter, on this site, and now (June 2006) have had over
300,000 hits, based on actual hits counted by DeepMetric Corp. In April
2006, a neighbor approached me with a request. She wanted a part of their
adoption story told on this web site. She did not want me to use another
family’s name in this story at present, until she got their permission.
After hearing her story I told her that I would be honored to list her
true story on my web site. This new mother, name withheld per her
request, told me that they traveled to … to adopt their little girl only to
find that this baby had another young sister who was in the same
orphanage. They then wanted to adopt the other sister and were devastated to
learn that they could not and would have to return to the United States
with only one very young child. While listening to this story and
seeing her emotions about the separating of these two sisters was traumatic
for me and I can not imagine their pain during their long trip home
knowing they could do nothing more to ever bring these two sisters
together again. I am not going to try to relate the watery eyes of this new
mother when she first approached me with this story. This is about what
Jesus can do and not that I was so honored to receive, her story. I do
now remember the only time prior to her approaching me, was last year
telling her that she has a double, to include her hairstyle, from my own
childhood. Her “double” was Mrs. Burton from New Rochelle, N.Y. Why I
did that, last year, I do not know I just did it because it is true.
Knowing that this neighbor’s story is true and what her family must have
endured is what is important.
What this new mother then wanted me to do originally was to start this
story so that the parents of the other sister who is now living within
four miles may agree to share the story of these two sisters on this
website. How these two families got together is still unknown to me at
this time. This is an unfinished story since, this new mother (or the
maybe other mother) now has requested this story not be published at
this time. My neighbor now has requested this story not be told until her
own daughter is grown and may or may not give permission to use their
real names. I will have, most likely, have been deployed to Heaven by
then.
Thirteen other Christian men have told me to tell this story as
written. here. Many wanted be to contact the media which would be wrong at
this time.

PRO-LIFE
Slavery is repulsive because it treats human beings as property to be
disposed of at the will of another. It was morally absurd in the 18OO'S to
say: "I AM PERSONALLY OPPOSED TO OWNING SLAVES AND WOULD NEVER OWN ANY
MYSELF, BUT I CAN'T FORCE MY MORAL VIEWS ON OTHERS." Today people use the
same argument regarding abortion. Slavery was wrong then and abortion is
wrong now.
